Kolkata Airport Rebrand

Kolkata Airport Rebrand is a visual identity project that reimagines the aesthetic and cultural presence of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. Drawing inspiration from Kolkata’s rich artistic heritage, architectural patterns, and vibrant street life, the rebrand introduces a contemporary design system rooted in local identity. From signage and wayfinding to digital touchpoints, the project enhances user experience while celebrating the city’s unique rhythm and warmth.

This project is inspired by the Howrah Bridge located in Kolkata, India

Trace Drawings

After creating trace drawings of the bridge I could take shapes from the drawing itself

Abstraction

Using the shapes from the bridge I created a new logo for the Kolkata Airport.

Mockups: Postcard

Using the logo variations of the logo I created postcards to better brand the airport itself

Mockups: Poster

Using various classic cultural images from Kolkata, I made a collection of posters to better unite the airport from one end to the other
