Between Two Worlds is a multidisciplinary project inspired by the life and work of Amrita Sher-Gil, whose art embodied the complexities of navigating multiple cultural identities. Drawing from her position between Europe and India, tradition and modernity, the project reflects on the experience of living in the in-between—where belonging is fluid and identity is layered. Through symbolic imagery and material contrasts, it pays tribute to Sher-Gil’s legacy while exploring contemporary narratives of hybridity, memory, and selfhood.
